Calculate your life path number

It’s simple math to find your life path number, first, take your date of birth and add up the numbers of your year, month and day separately until each one of them is reduced into a single-digit number, and then with the same principle, add the three numbers until the sum reduces into a final single-digit number – your life path number.

There are exceptions for the three master numbers: 11, 22 and 33, the three master numbers do not need to be reduced into single-digit, and are a life path number themselves, along with 1-9.

Example 1

If your birth date were April 23, 1995, 6 would be your life path number:

  • Year – 1995: 1+9+9+5 =24, 2+4 = 6
  • Month – April: 4
  • Date – 23: 2+3=5
  • The sum of the reduced birth date: 6+4+5 = 15, 1+5 = 6

Example 2

If your birth date contained a master number, like November 23, 1995, 22 would be your life path number:

  • Year – 1995: 1+9+9+5 =24, 2+4 = 6
  • Month – November: 11 (master number, treat it as it)
  • Date – 23: 2+3=5
  • The sum of the reduced birth date: 6+11+5 = 22
